A modern, Nordic look is weaved into all their designs, though they constantly reshape, redefine, reinvent and recombine in the search of surprising expressions and surfaces.

A handmade rug has a long journey before it arrives in your home. At Linie Designs they spin the yarn, colour and dry the yarn, the yarn is stretched lengthwise on the loom before weaving and then the rug is carefully checked over (by humans) before packing and shipping.

Hand-tufted rugs:
Though looking like handloom rugs in texture, the hand-tufted rugs typically have more complex patterns. Cotton linen with a sketched pattern is put on a frame. The yarn is shot with a gun into the sketch. Next, backside and borders are fixed. Then comes binding and drying in the sun. Finally the front is cut down to the right pile height, and the pattern is cut out with a pair of scissors.
